From Brentwood Railway Station...
Turn right onto Kings Road, take right onto Queens Road at a mini-roundabout. Turn left into St Thomas Road after a little over 500 yards, and St Thomas' Church and Church Centre is on the left.
Leave the M25 at Junction 28 and take the 2nd/4th (depending on direction) exit for the A1023 (signposted Brentwood and Pilgrims Hatch). After about 1 mile you will come to Brentwood High Street. Continue along the High Street until you reach a double roundabout (Wilson's Corner). Turn right into Ingrave Road (A128) then take the next right into Cathedral Place (formerly Hambro Rd). You will see the church ahead of you. For the Church Centre (where there is limited parking) turn left onto St Thomas Rd - the centre is immediately on your right.
Leave the A12 at Junction 12 (Mountnessing Roundabout) and take the first exit (left) for Shenfield and Brentwood (A1023). Continue on this road for about 2.5 miles, until you reach a double roundabout (Wilson's Corner). Turn left into Ingrave Road and follow the instructions above. Or for the multi-story car park continue on Ingrave Road to the next roundabout and turn right into Queens Road.
Leave the A12 at the A128 junction signposted Brentwood. Follow the A128 for just over 4 miles, through Heronsgate and Ingrave. After a junction with traffic lights you will go past the council offices on your left, and come to a mini roundabout. Take a left turn here (Queens Rd) then take the first right into St Thomas road, and the church and church centre will be on your left. Or continue along Queens Rd for the multi-story car park.
Space in the church centre car park is very limited. There may be some on-street spaces available nearby but these are restricted to residents during daytime on weekdays. You are advised to use one of the following town centre car parks. (for more information visit the Borough Council website)
For car parks A and B, if coming from the M25 you will need to turn right into Kings Road at the traffic lights by Bennett's Funeral Directors. From other directions you will most likely turn into Queens Rd from the Ingrave Road (A128) by Brentwood Cathedral.
A. Coptfold Road Multi-Storey This is the nearest main car park, about 5-10 minutes walk from the church. NB this car park closes at 9.45pm and there is a hefty exit fee after this time! From Kings Rd, turn left into Queens Rd at the roundabout at the bottom of the hill. Cross a mini roundabout, then turn left up Library Hill (or Alfred Rd if you miss it). (If coming from the Ingrave Road, turn right up Alfred Rd or Library Hill.) Then turn left onto Coptfold Road and right into the car park. There is no access from Crown Street.
B. Chatham Way/Hart St/Crown St surface car park this is a good 10 minutes walk from the church, and is recomended for evening events. From Kings Rd, turn left almost immediately at a mini roundabout into Chatham Way, which leads directly into the car park. From Queens Road, cross the mini roundabout (do not turn up Crown St) then turn right up Kings Road at the next rounadabout, turning right into Chatham way at the top of the hill. (There is an alternative entrance from Crown St but in a one way section running south from the High Street).
C. Council Office car park open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays (free of charge). This is located on the Ingrave Road/A128.
William Hunter Way is a road running parallel to a north of the High Street, with a municipal car park (D) and a Sainsbury's car park (E). The municipal car park is a good 15 minutes walk from the church.
