Privacy
We take your privacy seriously and will always respect confidentiality. Personal data may be collected in the following situations:
- Sending emails via the contact form: your IP address will be included in the email header in addition to the name and email address you provide. The email will only be seen by the intended receipient, unless another member of the staff team is better qualified to deal with it, in which case it will be forwarded to them. Please bear in mind email is not a secure medium.
- Online donations and pledges: the information you provide will be passed on to the Stewardship Officer in an email, and may be stored electronicaly solely for the purpose of tracking gifts and recovering tax. The Stewardship Officer will not identify individual givers, even to other members of the staff team. Information given to PayPal will be governed by that company's privacy policy. Please note that your credit card details will not be passed on to us, and will be held securely by PayPal for the purpose of processing the payment.
- Mailing Lists: only the information you supply via the registration form is stored. This information will not be divulged outside the staff team of St Thomas' Church, and your email address will only be used to send information about activities relating to this church which we believe you will be interested in, based on your choice of mailing lists. You may unsubscribe from the list at any time, and your details will be removed. Your email address will NOT be visible to other users, and emails can only be sent to the list by the web team.
- 'Recommend to a friend': No record is kept of either email address. The email message sent to your friend is identical to the copy you receive.
- E-Cards: the information you supply via the form is stored in order to produce the e-card, and your IP address is stored to prevent abuse, but this information will not be used for any other purpose or divulged to anyone else.
