Brentwood Art Exhibition
UPDATE: We have decided not to hold Art Exhibition in 2009. We are aware that there is still considerable interest from the local community and we are exploring possibilities for next year.
For the six years running St Thomas' Church has been the venue for a major one-day Art Exhibition and Sale, believed to be the largest of its kind in the UK. Proceeds from the Exhibition have gone towards our restoration projects, and we have succeeded in raising more than £40,000 over the years. The 2007 Exhibition, the biggest yet, raised nearly £10,000.
A small but dedicated group have been responsible for organising the Exhibition each year. This is a huge logisitical operation and though the organisers have gained a great deal of satisfaction from putting the exhibition on, it was felt that it was time to take a break. The parish is very grateful for all the hard work that has gone in to making the Art Exhibitions, as well as to all the artists, local galleries, schools and sponsors without whom the Exhibitions could not have been so successful.
